Andrenid bees are medium to large in size lacking in aggressive behaviors. They are usually dark, black or red color, but can be metallic blue, yellow, or red and yellow. Andrenid bees like to nest in sunny spots, varying from sandy soil, bare ground, or even under leaf material.
